Having a natural skill in graphic design has allowed me to find creative ways to visually support learning materials. Here are some of my creative ideas I have used to convey specific messages to change behaviour and create learning.
"Drive Smart Drive Safe" Awareness Campaign
As part of pitch to Insurance Bureau of Canada, I produced a number of visual materials for a campaign to raise awareness in order to change the behaviours people have towards distracted driving (i.e.: driving while using a cellphone, changing the radio, eating food...). I used a number of different graphic design elements to help convey this message such as semiotics, font, colour, positioning, uniformity and reusability.
Although this was not your typical learning project, I still had to create a change in behaviour and attitude towards a target audience, which you could argue is similar to the process of learning. As a learning professional, you are looking to create a change in order to improve performance.
